If you are a fan of DIY projects, then you probably make changes to rooms in your home often. It's fun to change up accents, make something new (and it actually turn out nice), etc. You know what else makes DIY projects even more fun...when they are temporary. It's easy to spice up a space and then when you have a new idea, change it up just as easily as you did it. I am going to share some really neat, non-committal ideas for sprucing up different areas in your home.
*These are also great ideas for updating your rental*
A home decor trend predicted for 2020 was bold colors and patterns. If you have ever had to remove traditional wallpaper, you know how difficult and messy that can be, so thank goodness for the new and improved peel and stick wallpaper. Not only is it super easy to apply, but it's just as easy to remove when the trend passes (since they usually are pretty temporary)
Yes, this is a very real thing. I first started seeing rubber floor tiles being used primarily in kids play areas. You latch them together like a puzzle and your done. Someone had the brilliant idea of printing these rubber floor tiles in designs that would look more appealing, like hardwood floors, gray flooring, etc. This could be super fun to use in a small space like a laundry room that needs a new look on the floor.
The backsplash in the kitchen can make a HUGE difference and impression when guests come over for dinner. Just like the Peel and Stick wallpaper, you can get peel and stick backsplashes. Once again, it is super easy to apply and just as easy to remove.
When you are looking to enjoy a bold look for a season or you are trying to make your rental feel more like a home, these are some affordable and easy options to do.
Have fun with your temporary upgrades!
