At the age of eighteen, he joined the military, where he was selected for the special operations group as a Combat Controller. These challenges exceeded "average" responsibility for a young, driven man.

Barry went on to become a civilian air traffic controller. To overcome and adapt to each situation was drilled into his unrelenting spirit and mental attitude.

Barry's personal life led him to a life of exciting opportunities, including a hunting guide in the Kalahari Desert in Africa, and above all he is a devoted family man. All his life experiences, combined with his love of his family, have shaped how he feels about people and the understanding of what he needs to do to help people as they buy or sell their home.
